What guides us

Every piece answers to the house, and to the people who live in it.

The architecture sets the direction

Furniture, textiles, art and objects decide how a home feels, how you inhabit it and how you move through it. They deserve the same attention as the architecture around them.

We read the architecture first: its scale, circulation, materials and character. That still leaves room for a mix of eras, confident colour choices and pieces with some tension to them, chosen because they belong rather than because they match. The decisions should feel deliberate, never formulaic.

Chosen for the life of the room

A room can photograph beautifully and still feel off to live in. We weigh ergonomics, scale, circulation, textile performance and maintenance alongside visual character.

The right material is not the one that looks its best on installation day and fails you a year later. It is the one that lives well with you, softening, ageing and taking on a patina over time.

We draw on established supplier relationships alongside local artists, makers and one-off pieces, so what comes into your home is specific to it rather than drawn from a familiar mix. That same preference for local, vintage and well-made pieces is how we practise sustainability: in what we select, and in how long it will last.

Good decisions. The right scale. The right material. The right piece in the right place.
